Add-ons for Google Apps

Do you use Google Apps and wish they had a certain feature? Well, there may be an app add-on for that! Google Docs and Sheets now have an Add-ons menu that lets you find and install new functionality. Use the Avery Label Merge add-on to print address labels, for example. Other add-ons help you send a fax, create a bibliography, or track changes to a document.

Most of the add-ons you install should work semlessly within a doc or sheet. Unfortunately, though, some appear to be thinly-veiled advertisements that connect to third-party websites.

NOTES: With Google Sheets, you need to be using the new version (released last December — you may not have switched over). Users of Google Apps for Education, may need and administrator to enable add-ons. AND — the add-ons don’t work on an iPad.
