Toy hacking for #clmooc

July 2, 2013

Toy Hack On Monday our  face-to-face CLMOOC group got together and did some Toy hacking, following the “make” described by Chad Sansing. We first gathered old toys, super glue, a few tools, and some odds & ends, and then spent about an hour taking old things apart and gluing new ones together. It was a lot of fun and we each created something that made us smile. Mine is pictured at left. This wasn’t just a chance to play, it was a reminder that old things can be reused – a time for friendly brainstorming and sharing ideas.

That toy looks ready for anything. I love the contrast between the spindly limbs and the squat body. The brackets and magnet provide a jaunty touch, as well. Great make! What other kinds of makes and learning will your F2F group explore?

    Best,
    C
