Comparison chart: Blog vs. Forum

April 11, 2012

Faculty members frequently ask me if they should start a blog for their class. Usually they are interested in providing an online space for conversation, which is something that I associate more with a forum (a.k.a. bulletin board or online discussion). I have given some thought to the differences between these two types of tools and thought I would share the results. If the PowerPoint vs. Prezi article is any indication, this will be a popular post.

Please share any ideas for changes, additions, or deletions – and let me know if you find this useful.
