Study shows students use more technology

Prepare yourself for a big surprise: college students are more likely to use the Internet and tech devices than the general population!

So says a study by the Pew Research Center – College students and technology – which used data from various surveys throughout 2010 and featured a sample size of nearly 10,000. Over 90% of students said they had home access to a broadband Internet connection and virtually all said they were Internet users, compared to 75 percent of adults in the general population.

Okay, so it’s not actually funny. In fact, the scale of the numbers is pretty surprising. The chart below provides additional detail. Note the dramatic gap in wireless use.
