Building a game to help locate tumors #gls7

June 16, 2011

Today, Ben Shapiro and Morgan Rothschild of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery presented “First Steps Toward an Anatomy Pro-Am: Inspiring STEM Futures and Saving Lives with a Social Game.” This a fascinating project that will help professionals and amateurs more accurately identify cancerous tumors. They are in the middle of developing a second iteration of the game in Facebook.

There are more images at GitHub and you can play the demo. You can also learn more here: Real Science: How Games Can Help Patients and The Public Give Doctors a Second Set of Eyes or here: Anatomy Pro-Am.
