ReadWriteWeb and Tableau Public are sponsoring an Interactive “Graph” Contest. Released last month, Tableau Public is a free tool for making interactive graphs, dashboards, maps and tables (ReadWriteWeb is a blog about tech products and trends). To enter the contest select one of their four data sets, then create and publish a “viz” on your blog or website by March 26, 2010 (this Friday). The winner gets an all-expenses-paid trip to Web 2.0 EXPO. For inspiration, you can visit a gallery of visualizations created with Tableau Public. The software is available for Windows, not Mac … bummer! I have not tried it, but the desktop version received excellent reviews.
