Publisher mulls its future
This clever video was produced by UK book publisher Dorling Kindersley (DK). Don’t judge it too quickly – watch for at least a minute and twenty seconds.
DK has been doing some thinking about what business will be like in ten years: “we are at the tipping point of how people will read and access information”, says the YouTube video description. This is another sign that the immense, stodgy book publishing industry may have begun a fundamental change in the way it sees new technology.
[In case you were wondering, the idea is not original. The video was inspired by one produced in Argentina, and there are other similar videos on YouTube. Mirror poems and palindromes have also been around for a while.]
