Three bloggers who changed their world

The Web has transformed how we live our lives. It has also spawned a new class of celebrity: the blogger. Three bloggers — one in London, one in Shanghai, China, and one in Mumbai, India — share their stories. [read or listen on NPR]

As I listened to this segment on “All Things Considered” on my way home from work last Friday, I was reminded of how my opinions on blogging have become much more positive in the past few months. I used to look at blogs as the work of vain blatherers. Time has passed, better tools have arrived, and I now believe a blog can be a flexible platform for a course website or a vehicle for group work and other educational activities.
