Audio widget

September 15, 2009

Click the play button below to hear a sample of an interesting new free tool called AudioPal. It lets you create an embeddable widget that plays a recording of your voice – or you can choose to have a text-to-speech synthesizer speak text that you type in. You can even call in a message by phone.

Most excellent. It’s now appearing in IE8. I have been tweaking my Internet Options, so I’m not certain if its something you did or something I did. If it works as I think it does, (one widget, but updateable messaging) then it could be embedded anywhere you’d normally put announcements and you could update everywhere at once! Cool.

Did you try another browser? I had problems uploading an MP3, and am going to see if they have some restrictions. This is VERY new, so I imagine there are some kinks to work out.

    The play button doesn’t appear?
