Divided brain, animated video
The UK’s Royal Society of the Arts (RSA) sponsors a series of TED-style lectures. The RSA combines 12-minute videos of the talks with artwork. In each video you see the speeded-up hand of Andrew Park drawing cartoons that illustrate the lecture. At the end,the camera pulls back to reveal the completed graphic in all its glory.
The latest RSAnimate video has a lot to say to educators. In it, psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist explains how our divided brains have profoundly affected human society. He starts by clearing up misconceptions about right brain vs. left brain.
