Mapping the news

The Washington Post’s TimeSpace provides quick, map-based access to articles, media and commentary. Zoom in on the hot-spots or use the timeline to see peaks in coverage or view items from a particular day.

There’s a general world map or you can explore topics like the oil spill disaster, earthquakes, and swine flu. There’s even one for the TV show “Lost“! TimeSpace is Flash-based, so iPad users are out of luck. To learn more, read “Inside TimeSpace.”
