Millions of dollars have been invested in developing educational games, and a growing body of research supports their use. Nevertheless, after pilot testing many of these games are forgotten by all but a few users. The site was developed at George Mason University’s Center for History and New Media using Omeka, their open source platform for displaying of scholarly content.
